We look at a move properly before we price it. No quotation rests on guesswork, and nothing is added later that was not first agreed with you.
The written quotation states plainly what is included and what is optional. There is no small print designed to be missed, and no surprise at the end.
Directly employed, uniformed crews carry out your move. We do not place a household in the charge of an anonymous subcontractor.
A full inventory is taken at collection and checked again at delivery, so what is placed in our charge is what is returned to yours.
A single named coordinator holds your move from first survey to final placement — the same person, wherever it is bound.

How a move is conducted
We look over the move — in person or by video — read the access, and note anything fine or fragile that needs particular care.
A clear, itemised quotation lands with you: what is included, what is optional, and what could affect the figure. Nothing hidden.
Our own crews arrive prepared, protect the home and its contents, and inventory everything as it is loaded.
Your load travels its planned route — across the country or across a border — while we manage documentation and clearance.
Everything is checked against the inventory and set down where it belongs in the new home or premises.

We moved a whole house from Yorkshire to Bavaria, children and piano included. From the survey to the day the last box was carried in, one person answered every question. It felt less like a removal and more like being looked after.
As executors we had to clear and move a large country house, much of it antique. Bishops treated the whole estate with a care and patience I have rarely seen. Everything was catalogued, nothing was rushed, and nothing was lost.
Our practice relocated over a weekend and opened as normal on the Monday. Files, servers and forty desks moved out of hours, every item logged. Not a client noticed. That is exactly what we needed.

It begins with a survey. Tell us where you are moving from and to, and roughly what is to come with you, and we will arrange a proper look at the property — in person or by video. From that we prepare a clear, written quotation, so that what is agreed is what is done.
Four, broadly: the family home, the estate or country house, business and institutional relocations, and specialist moves of art and antiques. Each is placed in the charge of a coordinator who sees it through from first survey to final placement.
We hold dedicated routes to Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria, and we move throughout Europe beyond those. Every international move is planned around the destination’s customs and access, and handled end to end.
That depends on the route, the customs clearance and how the load is scheduled with others heading the same way. Rather than promise a figure we cannot keep, your written quotation sets out an estimated window for your move, and your coordinator keeps you informed throughout.
